I took a 5am hike up toward heart Lake lookout. I had a cup of coffee and got cracking at starting this commissioned watercolour looking out toward Stuart Channel. After making a great start with the layout and painting the sky I took some photos and headed home. Over the next week I finished this beautiful work that was a surprise birthday gift. The client was very happy with the work.
Im in Joshua tree painting. I stopped in Bishop climbed at the buttermilk boulders but now I’m in Joshua tree, painting and climbing. What a beautiful place to hang around painting and go climbing.
