About
Andrew Mills
Andrew Mills a watercolour artist based on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. He specializes in evocative landscape and travel scenes inspired by his adventures rock climbing, canoeing and exploring in his van across Canada, the USA. Originally from South Africa, Andrew moved to Vancouver Island with his family in 2009; the island’s rugged coastlines, temperate forests and shifting light now feature prominently in his work. Working primarily in watercolour, he combines a keen eye for composition with fluid washes and textured detail to capture atmosphere and place, translating the immediacy of outdoor experience into finished paintings that reflect both memory and motion.
